BUTTERSCOTCH is a beautiful and sweet 1 year old beauty (spayed at the shelter) who came to Harbor as a timid stray. She was initially a "go slow" girl, but she quickly made friends and now looks forward to visits and play time in the yard. Volunteers noticed that Butterscotch had begun to limp, and the shelter sent her to SLA for x-rays. According to the medical staff, Butterscotch has hip dysplasia and she needs to see a vet for further diagnosis and treatment (and possibly surgery). She is currently on Rimadyl, and X-rays are available. Butterscotch is now kept in ISO where the public can't see her, and she is no longer putting any weight on her right rear leg.
Please help Butterscotch! She used to love to run and play with abandon in the yard, now she sits alone and lonely in ISO, not understanding why. Butterscotch knows her sit and stay commands, loves treats, and takes treats gently. She has come such a long way - from a scared and timid girl to a gentle friend. Please don't let her journey end at the shelter.
